      <image:title>Design - Pineros y Campesinos Unidos del Noroeste</image:title>
<image:caption>This is a logo design series done for Oregon labor rights non-profit Pineros y Campesinos Unidos del Noroeste – P.C.U.N. The client was looking to brand each branch within their organization with a strong mark that could be easily and quickly be reproduced. I looked to LatinX culture and history to provide inspiration, then chose imagery that uniquely represented each branch. I chose a stencil-like graphic style that would fit aesthetically on letterheads and protest signs alike. Shown below is part of the slide deck sent to the client, as well as potential options created during the development phase.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Illustration - Death Metal 'til You Die</image:title>
<image:caption>This was made as an attempt to create a poster for a death metal band. It’s not based off of a real band, therefore the logo is gibberish, not unlike most metal logos. This took about 40 hours with a one week turn around. Everything was hand drawn, scanned, and digitally tweaked. I used a mix of gouache, ink, pastel, and charcoal, then compiled it in Adobe Illustrator where I added the outlines and mixed the textures.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Illustration - Six Word Stories</image:title>
<image:caption>I created this series of eight images, plus a cover, for a book I wrote with my business partner. I limited myself to using materials and tools I was unfamiliar with—Ink, a toilet paper roll, construction paper, etc—and created these start to finish in 24 hours. This is just the beginning of the series, and I will be working on finishing the other 91 stories we created over the next couple months in order to be published and printed as a 5″ x 7″ loose leaf folio.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Illustration - Monster</image:title>
<image:caption>I used oversaturated acrylic paint on watercolor paper and let it dry to take up a form. After it dried, I scanned it and used Adobe Illustrator to create outlines and textures that I saw take shape in the dried paint. I then used color overlay filters to bump up a few key pieces to make them stand out more, and finally used a few brushes I created to add texture and movement.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Corey is a lifelong learner of visual techniques and gatherer of inspiration. Born in forever sunny, southern California he escaped to Portland, Oregon to experience the rain and the seasons. While there, he attended Pacific Northwest College of Art and earned BFAs in both Communication Design and Illustration. He enjoys pairing his design sensibilities with illustrative forms of expression working with both digital and traditional mediums to create works to fit any role. When not in his studio he can be seen on his motorcycle driving around the pacific northwest with his faithful basset hound, Frank Woogles.</image:caption>
